On Tuesday May 17th Urban Peace Movement towned it all the way up with TOWN UP TUESDAY, a voter awareness and live music festival at Oakland’s famed Lake Merritt Bandstand (the former site of Festival at the Lake)!!

Over 1500 people attended to see Oakland’s Hip Hop culture shine!! We had live performances from Kamaiyah, Goapele, Symba, Stunnaman02, Mistah FAB, Young JR, Baby Gas, J Walt, Gunna Goes Global, Ally Cocaine, and Los Rakas. With legendary DJs D-Sharp, FUZE, AND Kleptic and hosts Rocky Rivera and D Nas!! TOWN UP TUESDAY was dedicated to the whole Bay Area and especially to the young people of Oakland!! The event was a day of love, peace, joy, celebration, belonging, and people power!!
